I’ve only used the purchased SC, never SC Now. A studio sent me a connection request for SCN. We connected at 256/mono and they said the audio didn’t sound good. We started a VO session but they said the audio was unacceptable. I did a backup of what we recorded, sent it to them, and when they listened they said it sounded perfect yet what they recorded from SCN sounded a bit like a phone patch. I went to the studio and they played what they had recorded from our SCN session and it did sound terrible.
Since my backup sounded fine, I know the audio from my interface to my computer is fine. Are there browser settings that might be off? This client said they NEVER had a problem like this so I’m assuming it’s something in my browser that’s problematic.
I’m using Windows 7 with Google Chrome Version 92.0.4515.159 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Is it possible that SCN is using my webcam mic instead of my Focusrite input? I’d have to start up another SCN session, I suppose, to know that, right? or is there a way to check that outside of a session?
