    Hi friends,
I have to go on location for VO for a few months and wonder if anyone has had issues or conversely had success with using a personal Hot spot from AT&T to up and down load using SC standard during a session? I run mac pro laptop and protools.4 K LTE network. Thanks so much!

Wireless hot spots can work well with Source-Connect. Like any wireless connection, it is very important to get the strongest possible signal and even then, drop outs are more likely to happen than with a wired connection.

It is also not possible to do port forwarding with many hot spots. Some do support it, but you will still need a get a static IP from the carrier which is typically only available for business accounts and costs something like $500. A great alternative to port forwarding would be to instead rely on the Source-Stream service which is available with Source-Connect version 3.9. This will allow Source-Connect to connect properly even without port forwarding, as long as both sides of the connection have it enabled.

Thanks so much Jace! I appreciate your help. I'll do more digging with AT&T. Source Stream is a new service? I wasn't aware of that- is it part of my SC standard subscription?
    Thanks!

Source-Stream is relatively new, but yes it is included as part of a subscription. You can enable it for your account by visiting https://phoenix.source-elements.com/dashboard/apps/source-connect/source-stream/
